What’s Fair?

How much to pay for a job well done is a concern and frustration for millions of Americans who want and need household, personal and family care services. As our name suggests, we help you make informed decisions about how much to pay.
Our transparent marketplace helps ensure that both consumers and providers are fairly charged and compensated for work performed.

Wage Guidance

The below table can be used as a benchmark for average hourly rates per category and can help you determine what is the fair wage for your job in your local area.  The information is a summary of real time data collected across our site.  Of course, your agreed-upon rate with the provider varies depending on the specifics of your job.

Interesting facts:

It takes earnings of $33.60 an hour for a family of four to live in San Francisco, and $23.90 for the same family to live in Oakland. - Public Policy Institute of California, 2002

At Laborfair™, we connect people in search of fairly priced personal help with providers in need of better work opportunities in a way that’s fair, easy and financially rewarding for everyone.  Without paying middlemen who will never set foot on your job, you save more and providers make more.  It’s a win-win.
